Mother’s of EE

I was blessed with a great many mothers in my life. I have my mom, who worked hard as a single parent to raise me and my brother, making sure we always had time for family. Mom has always been there for us everytime we need her, even as adults, she is strong and brave and loves with her whole heart. My aunt, who came every weekend to spend time with us and plan fun activities, she is definitely the "fun parent". My Nana, who was with me everyday, she made sure we always had good food and a nice home to live in. Not many people are lucky enough to be raised by 3 incredible women!

Then when i became a teen i found my "horse mom", Nina. She raised me to be a "horse observer" to learn from being with them, watching them as they are. I learned to love horses as whole beings of love, not just a toy to ride on.

Now that i'm an adult i have another wonderful mom in my life, my mother-in-law, Maru, who is an animal lover like me! She supports my dreams of saving all the animals

Thank you, all of you, for shaping me, building me, and making me able to be the person i am today!

We have a few moms here at the rescue i need to mention too. We have "Big Momma" Tank, she is the overseer of our farm, she keeps all the horses in line and "tattles" when someone is doing something they shouldn't. She has taught me everything.

Then there's Marshmallow, we had one of her babies here, but he had a neurological disorder and passed away. When we learned his mother needed a home, we had to take her. Turns out she was mother to at least 8 other foals!! She was notorious for sneaking out of the petting zoo she lived at and finding neighborhood stallions, coming home pregnant

And of course, our mother-daughter pair, Sunflower and Nymphy. They came to us 8 years ago a year when Mother's day and national Donkey Day were the same day!!! i can't believe baby Nymph is 8, she is still a baby!!!
